Job Description: Cedars-Sinai Health System is currently seeking a pathology informaticist to join our dynamic Enterprise Information Services (EIS) Department physician team. The candidate will function as a liaison to the Department of Pathology for its IT needs and requirements. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for the informatics training curriculum of pathology residents. Board eligibility or board certified for American Board of Pathology subspecialty of Clinical Informatics is required. Formal Medical Informatics training via fellowship or masters is preferred.
Cedars-Sinai Health System encompasses a world renowned Academic Medical Center, dedicated to providing the highest standard of clinical care while conducting biomedical research. The medical informaticists’ role at Cedars-Sinai will provide the physician with multiple clinical practice opportunities while supporting the implementation and optimization of our clinical and diagnostic information systems, interfaces between laboratory information systems, applying data standards for pathology information and integrating complex data such as genomic information. The candidate will be eligible for appointment to Clinical Informatics Division which is dedicated to collaboration with our clinicians and research scientists enabling them to provide superior patient outcomes and innovative translational research.
Candidates must be board certified or eligible in pathology, California licensed or license eligible, and qualified for professorial appointment at the appropriate academic rank.
