Sunquest & API - New Webinar Series

RESPONDING TO COVID-19: Large Reference Lab Strategy, Logistics and IT
Informatics Virtual Conferences

September 22, 2020 | 1:00pm ET / 10:00am PT

On September 22 at 1:00pm ET, Sunquest and API will continue its free COVID-19 virtual series with a new webinar that focuses on the pandemic from the perspective of a large regional reference lab and large health system lab environment.

The entire clinical lab industry is under scrutiny during this pandemic on multiple counts such as long test-result turnaround times and confusion on the part of consumers about the value and efficacy of lab testing. Part of these problems are due to a continuing onslaught of test samples to regional and national labs and part due to the fragmentation of the lab industry in the U.S. These problems have been exacerbated by the absence of a coherent federal lab policy and set of directives.

Speakers

Sam Terese
President and Chief Executive Officer of Alverno Laboratories in Hammond, Indiana

Stan Schofield
Managing Principal at The Compass Group Scarborough, Maine

Moderated by:

Friedman, M.D., Emeritus Professor of Pathology from the University of Michigan Medical School and well-known informatician. The goal is to develop a snapshot in time about the pandemic from these two nationally recognized lab leaders.
